Dynamic Earth is located within Edinburgh's city centre making it easily accessible whatever your method of travel. With excellent air links and rail and road network, getting to Edinburgh from overseas or within the UK has never been easier.



By air

By air - from London airports

Edinburgh has one of the UK's fastest growing airports and new flights are always being added. Dynamic Earth neighbours the Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyrood Palace at the bottom of the Royal Mile and within 10km (6 miles) of Edinburgh International Airport.

From Edinburgh Airport by Bus
The Airlink 100 operates a frequent bus service (every 10 minutes at peak times) between Edinburgh Airport and the city centre, with designated stops en route. The service starts at 04.30 and runs until 00.22 at night, with the journey taking 20 minutes. Tickets cost £3.50 single and £6.00 return. Delegates are advised to disembark at Edinburgh Waverley Station and is approximately a 15 minute walk from the city centre. See city centre map for directions.

The N22 bus also departs from outside the Airport entrance and runs every half an hour through the night until the Airlink service starts again. For more information about these services visit www.flybybus.com.

From Edinburgh Airport by Taxi
There is an excellent taxi service from the airport to the city. You'll find official airport taxis at the taxi rank outside the terminal building (follow the signs within the airport). It costs approximately £15 to get a taxi from the airport to the city centre and the journey takes 20 minutes depending on the time of day.

From Edinburgh Airport by Tram
A tram service operates from outside the airport to the City centre costing £5 single and £8 return. For Dynamic Earth, the closest tram stop is Princes Street or St Andrews Square. Dynamic Earth is approximately 10/15 minute walk from either stop. For more information on the tram service, visit the website at https://edinburghtrams.com.

From Glasgow Airport
Glasgow Airport is Scotland's long-haul gateway, with some 30 airlines serving around 90 destinations worldwide.

Glasgow Airport connects to key locations around the UK, including over 30 flights per day linking London to Glasgow. Airlinks with major scheduled carriers such as Lufthansa and KLM plus United Airlines' daily service from New York to Glasgow opens up the European and transatlantic gateways. The twice daily service by Emirates links over 100 destinations in Asia, Africa and Australasia to Glasgow.

Glasgow is approximately 50 minutes by bus to Edinburgh.



By train

By train

Edinburgh has two railway stations - Waverley and Haymarket. Waverley is the main station and has direct routes to many cities across the country, including over 25 daily departures from London.

The closest station to Dynamic Earth is Haymarket which is approximately a 10 minute walk. The walking time from Waverley is approximately 20 minutes.

Dynamic Earth is right in the centre of Edinburgh. Located at the bottom of Holyrood Road, neighbouring the Scottish Parliament and the Palace of Holyrood House, Dynamic Earth can be easily found. Taxis

Taxis in Edinburgh are licensed to operate within the City of Edinburgh council area.

Taxis can be hailed in the street or found at many of the taxi stances situated in and around the city centre area and the suburbs. These stances are clearly marked. There are also taxi stances at the rail way stations and airport.
